below ...........the queen in wax
(after the "basketball" and "hula hoop" girl)
(hula hoops good
for thin waists if you get my drift!
)
last wax one of the Queen - cost 150,000 quid
and took 20 people

MASSIVE archive including baketball here
is THIS the solution to employement ?
ie millions of people making wax dummies
(actually I know where the real dummies are)
here's the wax ....
(the first one of her Maj doesnt look like her at all)

I read once, our monarchy costs less than the president of France's ENTOURAGE
- so they got
rid of their monarchy
to replace it with a MORE EXPENSIVE SYSTEM !
hahahahaha

a VERY elegant new Mrs President I may say!
(oops - Mz President)

GOOD LUCK to the Greece people in their very difficult times
seems like its a good idea for them to have 2 curriences
drachma for internal trading so the people can buy food and live
the euro for international trading and to pay off debts over the longer period
will EEC do something sensible like that - I DOUBT IT
If they did sensible things
we wouldnt all be in this colossal MESS
oh, and that reminds me
how is the EEC getting on with having the books audited ?
(10 years looks dodgy to me)

that's the prettiest picture I have ever seen

my support for the humble comma continues ...
"....... review tags others ....."
what is THAT supposed to mean ???

sorry to bovver ya mark
but
"review tags, others ...."
with the comma, would have been a whole pile clearer
now
try reading the words in orange below, out loud to yourself - like a newsreader......
(and NO pause between "tags" and "others" - THAT'S CHEATING ! )
"you can chose to review tags others add to you stuff"
yes ! clumsy isn't it !
now try the rogerblogger corrected way
"you can chose to review tags, others add to you stuff"
with a nice long dramatic pause between "tags" and "others"
now it sounds sweet doesnt it ?

as the eleventh commission in the tate modern's unilever series, chinese conceptual artist ai weiwei has filled the museum's turbine hall with millions of life-sized sunflower seed husks made out of porcelain. the collective effort of a number of specialists from jingdezhen, china, the hand-crafted seeds were individually formed and painted. the installation encourages visitors to touch and walk on the carpet of tiny replicates |

|
- Chinese artist Ai Weiwei's installation in the giant turbine hall of London's Tate Modern gallery has been closed off to the public over concerns that it is causing dangerous levels of dust. "Sunflower Seeds," part of the high-profile Unilever Series which invites artists to fill the cavernous space each year, consists of some 100 million individually made porcelain seed replicas, and visitors were invited to walk across them. "Although porcelain is very robust, the enthusiastic interaction of visitors has resulted in a greater than expected level of dust in the Turbine Hall," Tate said in a statement. "Tate has been advised that this dust could be damaging to health following repeated inhalation over a long period of time. In consequence, Tate, in consultation with the artist, has decided not to allow visitors to walk across the sculpture." The work has been seen as Ai's commentary on living in a densely populated country where individualism can be lost, as well as his interpretation of the inter-connectedness of millions of people over the internet. Even before the dust debacle, there were concerns that some members of the public were stealing the seed replicas. |
